Family

This is my Mom and Dad. I lost my Dad to cancer on 8-16-10. He was a kind, funny, loving and special man. Anyone that knew him loved him. He always made you feel beautiful and loved. If you were having a bad day, Dad was there with a funny story or just a hug. My Mom is also a special women. Shortly after Dad passed away my Grandmother {who is 103} fell at home. Mom quickly moved in so Grandma still feels like she has her independance.

Life is not the same without Dad, however his passing has made me realize how precious life really is. It is sad how you have to figure these things out. This is Robert Bush, Bob's Dad. We lost him on 10-26-10. He had been sick for years and just couldn't hold on any longer. He made me feel like one of the family from the day I met him. He was alot like my Dad. What is really heartbreaking is we didn't get to say our goodbyes. Bob's family never called to tell us he was in the hospital. We found out 2 days before he passed. We went to the hospital to see him and found out from the front desk that he had passed away that afternoon. We were crushed. How can people be so cruel? How could they do that to family?

This is the hardest post I have ever done. However I am glad I did. I am not writing this for you to feel sorry for me or even make you sad. I am letting you know that someone you Love can be gone in an instant. Don't assume they know you Love them. Tell them every chance you get. Your kids may think your crazy and say Mom/Dad I know. Your significant other may know but when was the last you really held them and said "I Love You!"
I hope everyone has a safe and blest day.

  1. Jeanette this was really a wonderful post. I am going to hug my hubby right now and tell him how much I love him. Thanks for reminding us of how lucky we are to have the ones we love.
    Hugs to you my friend!
