Father's Day

Father's Day is hard for Bob and I.
I lost my daddy {Alfred} on August 16th 2010.
Bob lost his father {Robert} on October 26th 2010.
I think about them everyday.
I remember the first time I met Bob's dad.
He gave me the biggest hug.
I felt like family right away.

Bob is a great father to Nick{16}, MIA{9} & Elphaba{3}.
Ok so only one {Nick} is human! LOL
Bob works hard and is always thinking of others before himself.
I love him so much. I can't wait to contiune to grow our family. Human and dogs alike.

Here is a card I made for not only a challenge on http://mfpspeedytv.ning.com/page/friends-of-speedytv-challenge-24 but to celebrate the wonderful husband and father I married. We don't get to ride the Harley often but when we do he is thrilled and looks good doing it. I know he will enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it.

Happy Father's Day!

Cardmaking While Sick

I truely love cardmaking. It makes me feel wonderful to see a finished card. However when you are sick your brain just doesn't want to work. LOL

Thanks to my wonderful friend Lora from CardMaker. She showed us this card and I just had to try it. It's called a Flip Flop Card. You'll find her card and challenge here:

Next time I try a new technique or fold I will make sure I am not sick. It took watching her video 4 times before I finally understood what to do. Not her fault at all.

I used up alot of scraps on this card {I have a box full all sorted by color} The Owl was made with my punch from Stampin Up. The saying is also from Stampin Up {Best Yet} I used some flowers I recieved from various friends on CardMaker.

Thanks for stopping by I hope to see your creations on: http://www.cardmakermagazine.com/cardswap/index.php

Tool Stamping

Here is a technique I learned at Technique Tuesday. It is really easy and the possibilities are endless.

TOOL STAMPING:
This technique is similar to "kissing". Ink up a soild image stamp.

Using an uninked stamp that has dots, lines or patterns {referred to as the "TOOL STAMP"}
drag it around onto the solid image stamp. Now you can go in a straight line or move it in waves. Then stamp the solid image stamp onto your cardstock.

Then assemble card.

Please join me over at Card Maker Magazine for my weekly challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge Week 110

Thanks to my great friend Jane from CardMaker I have found yet another site to be addicted to. You'll have to check it out. Great cards and wonderful people. http://mfpspeedytv.ning.com/

Here is my entry for the Week 110 Challenge. We had to make a card using buttons. This card was alot of fun and will be going to my mom. She is really crafty and used to sew all of the clothes my siblings and I wore. She tried to teach me to sew but I ended up sewing all of her wash cloths together and I was banned from then on. We still laugh about it.

Next up a CardMaker challenge. So stayed tuned.
